Heya! guess what i did today??
YupxX! i baked a cake! lolx! Chocolate cake at that. Just bought the cake mix yesterday becos' my mum's been nagging me to cook smthing so i thought might as well!
aaaannnddd... so i went to Cold Storage, picked out the cheapest cake mix i could find [$2.95]. See. it's the first time i'm actually touching the oven at home so i better find a cheap one incase i mess up right?

genius......

so this is it! Family Recipe Rich Chocolate cake mix. Excellent choice.

and just in case the cake doesn't work out i can always camofludge it with Hershey's Chocolate Syrup. You know... who cares what's under that pile of gooey chocolatey syrup right? you just eat it up!

Posted by Hello

Right! and the best thing is... this syrup is suppose to freeze in seconds after you apply it onto the cake! like wwwooww the things Hersheys can think of. Already forming an image of a wonderful cake ala the one i saw in Big O' with the picture of a girl printed on the cake surface with the frozen chocolate...

but turns out? The chocolate didn't even freeze....... or anything near that for that matter. in fact... i stood there for 3 min... just staring at the syrup on my cake........ still liquid............ still liquid...... maybe i should just plop it into the fridge for awhile to speed things up......................................... 5 mins................ nope... still liquid! ..... you know 3 hours is like 10800 seconds which is still seconds you know? they could jolly well be meaning 10 hours. ok. that's it. i'm plopping the whole cake in my mouth.

and then my genius of a sister has to come around and point out to me that maybe they mean that it freezes only on ice creams...... and then she points to the sticker on the bottle of syrup and very proudly declare that the white stuffs there is actually, ice cream.

like how was i suppose to knoe??! it could be foaming detergent for all i care! in fact come to think of it, it looks kinda like a syrofoam box right?

oh yah... come to think of it, i haven't talked about my cake at all right? juuuusttt scroll down abit!

yupx. that's the desired outcome.

Posted by Hello

and this is the real outcome. does it look like a pile of sh*t? ok, ok... so it isn't really picture perfect. but like what they say, it''s what it taste that matters right? [ok, maybe they didn't say that but who cares!] it taste yummy! i can get my sis to testify for me! the only reason why it ended up looking like that is because of this tiny error i made during the process............. but you can't blame me! i was followin the instructions on the box!

Posted by Hello

right, 2 eggs. Check. Cake mix. Check. 1 cup of milk. Cccchheck. mix everything together. which basically just means that i pour the flour, the eggs and the milk in right? I mean... that's what mixing means RIGHT? ok, wasn't until i was beating the whole mixture happily together when my mum wearily informs me that i should have added the flour with a bit of egg first, beat it up abit, add more egg, mix some more, add a few drops of the milk, mix more, add more milk, mix some more............................ how was i suppose to know i had to read between the lines like that?! next time, i'll have to check up the meaning of each letter they say on the box before proceeding with caution. and nope, that's not the error i was mentioning about [although it issss another error. but neglectable!] the error was :: the one cup of milk.

Right Quiz time!

got the answer ready??

this is my answer:

beaming with pride from ear to ear at my 100% correct answer. i mean..... this IS a cup.

right?

Posted by Hello
turns out this is the correct answer. A cup. *disgusted look* apparently, answer B) is either known as a mug or a glass. watever! Who in the world thought up of naming flowery procelain minature jars which you sip english tea out of , a cup? Totally irrelavent! ok, so a mug is almost twice the size of a cup which eventually ends up meaning that i added twice the required amt. of milk into my cake and thus it couldn't even bake properly. The crust just gets burnt and everything and the insides is still as wet as the toilet bowl.

yupx.
